Sear loin chops, then simmer with wine, mushrooms, garlic, and herbs for a quick, impressive pork Marsala.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound boneless pork loin chops, pounded thin
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, oregano, garlic salt, and salt. Add pork chops and coat them well by tossing.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Sear pork chops until golden on both sides, turning occasionally. Introduce mushrooms and garlic to the skillet, sauté for about a minute until mushrooms start to soften and garlic becomes aromatic.
  • Pour the wine into the skillet, scraping to release any delicious brown bits. Cover and simmer on medium heat until the pork is tender and the sauce thickens, which should take about 15 minutes. Check that the pork reaches at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) by inserting an instant-read thermometer. If the sauce is too thick, simply stir in more wine gradually until it reaches your desired consistency.
