Whip up a delicious homemade yellow mustard in no time with just eight ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.25 cup mustard powder
  • 3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon quick-mixing flour (such as Wondra®)
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • 1 pinch paprika
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together water, mustard powder, vinegar, flour, salt, turmeric, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring often, until the mustard thickens, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Take the saucepan off the heat and let it sit uncovered for 1 minute. Then cover the saucepan with a lid and refrigerate until chilled.
