Ingredients:
  • 65.63 gm light soy sauce
  • 40.00 ml dry sherry
  • 1 litre chicken style liquid stock
  • 125.00 ml char siu sauce
  • 1kg Pork Belly Roast Boneless, trimmed
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 18.20 gm peanut oil
  • Steamed white rice, to serve
  • Steamed Asian greens, to serve
Instructions:
  • Heat up the pressure cooker on sauté mode. Put in soy sauce, sherry, stock, and half of the char siu sauce in the 6-liter pressure cooker. Simmer for 5 minutes until it slightly thickens. Next, add the pork and cook for 30 minutes on medium heat as per the manufacturer's instructions. Take out the pork from the pressure cooker, let it cool, and set aside 1 cup of the cooking liquid. Finally, slice the pork into 18 evenly sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix honey, sesame oil, and leftover char sui. Heat peanut oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, browning and coating with the char sui mixture.
  • While you wait, pour the reserved cooking liquid into a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for 3 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Plate the char siu pork alongside rice, Asian greens, and sauce.
