Transform prickly pear juice into chewy, sticky candy - a fruity delight for sweet tooths.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup prickly pear juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and elegantly line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Filter the prickly pear juice into a bowl using 2 layers of cheesecloth.
  • In a saucepan, mix together the juice and sugar, bring to a boil, and then pour the candy mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 5 minutes until firm. Let the candy cool in the pan until set, at least for 30 minutes.
  • Slice the candy into small, delectable pieces and gently envelop each one in plastic wrap.
