Prepare an easy and delicious prime rib roast with garlic and mustard for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 pound) prime rib roast
  • 6 cloves garlic, sliced
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup Dijon mustard
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 500°F (260°C).
  • Prick the roast all over with a small knife, gently inserting slivers of garlic. Season generously with salt and pepper, then coat with a generous layer of mustard. Transfer to a rack in a roasting pan and cover.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 60 minutes. Turn off the oven, keeping the door closed. Allow the meat to rest undisturbed for 90 minutes until the internal temperature reaches at least 140°F (60°C) for medium-rare, or 155°F (68°C) for medium.
