Summertime perfection: Prosciutto-wrapped melon with Mozzarella cheese. Using Prosciutto di Parma, honeydew, cantaloupe, and fresh cherry Mozzarella.
Ingredients:
  • Melon Baller
  • 1/4 lb thinly sliced Italian Prosciutto di Parma
  • 1 cantaloupe or honeydew melon, or 1/2 of each
  • A lemon or lime for squeezing
  • 1 8-ounce container of fresh cherry-size mozzarella cheese, each cheese ball cut in half
  • Party toothpicks or bamboo skewers
Instructions:
  • Halve the melon and deseed it. Use a melon baller to create small melon balls. Transfer the melon balls to a bowl and drizzle with fresh lemon or lime juice.
  • Wrap a slice of prosciutto around a melon ball.
  • Insert toothpick and top with mozzarella, optionally.
  • Continue this process with all of the melon balls, then elegantly display them on a serving platter.
