Easy pumpkin rolls with canned pumpkin puree - perfect for holiday feasts.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 7 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup butter, softened
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine yeast and sugar with warm water. Allow it to sit until the yeast softens and forms a creamy foam, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine pumpkin, melted butter, eggs, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Mix in 3 cups of flour until well-combined. Gradually add more flour as needed until the dough is easy to handle. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a large, lightly-oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, approximately 1 hour.
  • Divide the dough into 4 parts and shape each into a 12-inch circle. Optionally spread each circle with 1/4 cup of butter. Cut each circle into 8 wedges. Roll up each wedge from the wide edge. Place the rolls on a greased sheet, cover with a damp cloth, and let them rise until doubled in volume.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bake rolls in a preheated oven until beautifully golden for about 15 to 20 minutes.
