Indulge in a delicious winter pear dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (see note)
  • 250.00 ml frozen raspberries
  • 4 medium packham pears, peeled
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, let the magic begin by mixing together sugar, vanilla, and 4 cups of cold water until the sugar dissolves after 3 to 5 minutes. Gently fold in the vibrant raspberries for a burst of flavor.
  • Place pears in a pan, cover, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes until pears are tender, turning halfway. Remove from heat and let stand in syrup for 30 minutes. Transfer pears to a bowl using a slotted spoon. Strain syrup into a jug and serve with pears.
