Spiced with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, this dessert is a cozy delight.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups 2-inch cubes day-old bread (5 to 7 slices)
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 1/2 cups low-fat milk
  • 1/2 cup fat-free cholesterol-free egg product
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously coat an 8x8x2 inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine all the ingredients and allow them to sit for 15 minutes to marry the flavors. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • - Place a 13x9x2-inch baking dish in a larger rectangular pan on the oven rack. - Fill the outer pan with boiling water until it reaches 1 inch deep. - Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
