Celebrate July 4th with red, white, and blue cupcakes. Made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ white cake mix, tinted whipped fluffy white frosting, and a surprise raspberry jam center. perfect for a festive party treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box
  • 3/4 cup seedless red raspberry jam
  • 3 tubs (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1 teaspoon intense red paste food color
  • 1/4 teaspoon royal blue paste food color
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors red, white and blue stars
  • Coarse white sparkling sugar, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular size muffin cups with red, white, or blue paper baking cups.
  • Prepare the cake mix for cupcakes as instructed on the box using water, oil, and egg whites. Fill muffin cups evenly with batter. Spoon 1 1/2 teaspoons of raspberry jam into each cup and swirl with a toothpick. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before transferring the cupcakes to cooling racks. Let them cool completely before serving.
  • Color one container of frosting with red food coloring and the second container with blue food coloring, leaving the third container white. Transfer each color of frosting into its own piping bag with a large round tip. Decorate the cupcakes with the frosting as desired, then sprinkle with stars and sparkling sugar.
