Elevate your summer festivities with fun, patriotic surprise cupcakes bursting with colorful sprinkles.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box
  • 1 cup assorted Betty Crocker™ red, white and blue candy sprinkles
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Creamy White Frosting (or your favorite flavor)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups.
  • Prepare the cake batter following the instructions on the box. Fill each muffin cup two-thirds full with the batter. Bake according to the box instructions for cupcakes. Let cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely, approximately 30 minutes.
  • Core the cupcakes using a melon baller to create a 1-inch indentation. Fill each cavity with 1 heaping teaspoon of candy sprinkles.
  • Spread a generous amount of frosting on the cupcakes and store them loosely covered.
