Elevate sugar cookie mix for a delicious Fourth of July treat with just a few additions.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup M&M's® red and blue mini chocolate candies
  • 1/4 cup red, white and blue candy sprinkles
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously spray a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.
  • Combine sugar cookie mix, 1/2 cup of softened butter, egg, and flour in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Gently mix in M&M's® and candy sprinkles, then press the mixture into a pie plate.
  • Bake until golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool for 30 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, blend powdered sugar, 1/2 cup softened butter, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of milk using an electric mixer on medium speed for approximately 3 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of milk if necessary.
  • Transfer the mixture into a piping bag with a star tip. Use it to decorate the sugar cookie pie to your liking. Slice and serve.
