Festive red velvet crinkle cookies, chewy with a crinkled crust, dusted with powdered sugar - a holiday delight!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box Duncan Hines® Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and fresh lemon zest in a large mixing bowl, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Combine powdered sugar and cornstarch in a shallow dish, blending with a fork until mixed.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat them with the powdered sugar mixture. Place the balls about 2 inches apart on cool, ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake each sheet in the center of the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes until set. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely, about 15 minutes. Repeat with remaining cookies.
