Elevate your baking game with red velvet cookies using Betty Crocker™ Cookie Mix. Top it off with creamy cream cheese frosting for a decadent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon red food color
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 to 1 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, cocoa powder, melted butter, sour cream, food coloring, and egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms.
  • Form the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange them 2 inches apart on a baking sheet without greasing it.
  • Bake for 8 to 9 minutes until just set. Allow to cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Cool completely for about 15 minutes.
  • Top the cooled cookies with a generous spread of delicious frosting, then shower them with a generous handful of chopped nuts. Keep these irresistible treats fresh by storing them in a tightly covered container at room temperature.
