Elevate your grilled steak skewers with a flavorful marinade of oranges, steak sauce, red wine, chile peppers, and green onions.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups red wine
  • 0.5 cup steak sauce (e.g. A-1)
  • 3 oranges, sliced into rounds
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced
  • 4 small red chile peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 4 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground ginger
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 pounds beef sirloin steak, boneless, cut across the grain into 1/4 inch strips
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together the red wine, steak sauce, orange slices, green onions, chile peppers, garlic, and ginger. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Place the steak strips in a shallow dish, pour the marinade over the meat, cover, and let it refrigerate for 8 hours.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill on high heat, then lightly oil the grate and position it 4 inches away from the heat source. Soak wooden or bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Thread marinated steak onto skewers and grill until cooked through, 7 to 10 minutes.
