Must-try vegan bacon made with rice paper, liquid smoke, miso, and maple syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1.5 teaspoons miso paste
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 sheets rice paper
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 400°F (200°C).
  • Combine sesame oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, miso, liquid smoke, paprika, and black pepper in a shallow bowl and whisk until well blended.
  • Place 2 sheets of rice paper in cold water until they soften, approximately 30 seconds. Cut the softened rice paper into strips using a pizza cutter. Dip each strip in the soy mixture and arrange on parchment paper. Gently transfer the parchment paper onto the oven rack.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes until the strips are dry.
