Impress guests with this delectable strawberry tart with a unique twist!
Ingredients:
  • 12 Sweet Shortcrust Tartlets
  • 130g soft ricotta
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 20.20 gm cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp lemon rind, finely grated
  • 250g strawberries, hulled, halved or quartered
  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C conventional or 160C fan-forced, and place tart tins on a large baking tray.
  • In a bowl, combine ricotta, 1 tablespoon sugar, cream, egg, and rind until silky. Divide mixture into tart shells. Bake for 14 minutes or until filling is perfectly set. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
  • Preheat the oven to 220C conventional or 200C fan-forced. Combine strawberries, sugar, and vinegar in a small baking dish, toss well. Roast for 8 minutes until strawberries are softened and sugar dissolves. Chill in a bowl until cold.
  • Garnish tarts with fresh strawberries and drizzle with syrup just before serving for the best taste experience.
