Whip up creamy dairy-free nut milk at home using 4 ingredients for a delicious plant-based substitute!
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups raw mixed nuts
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Cover your baking sheet with parchment paper, then scatter your nuts across it.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. Shake the baking sheet to flip the nuts. Continue baking until toasted, about another 5 minutes. After turning off the oven, let the nuts cool slightly inside for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Place the nuts in a spacious bowl and generously cover them with water. Seal the bowl and allow the nuts to soak for 30 minutes.
  • Drain soaked nuts and save the soaking water. Blend nuts with 1 cup of soaking water on low for 30 seconds. Pour in another cup of soaking water and blend for 1 minute. Add the rest of the soaking water and blend on medium for 30 seconds. Let the nut milk sit for 10 minutes before using.
  • Strain nut milk into a glass container using a sieve or nut bag. Mix in honey and salt. Cover and refrigerate.
