Celebrate with this fun and festive birthday party dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 8 frankfurts
  • 100g Colby Cheese Block (500g), cut into 8 x 3cm-thick triangles
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 220C/200C fan-forced and prepare a large baking tray by lining it with baking paper.
  • Cut the pastry into 8 strips that are 2.5cm thick and long. Wrap each strip around a frankfurt in a spiral pattern, stretching the pastry as needed. Place them on the tray with the ends of the pastry tucked under the frankfurts. Brush the pastry with egg wash.
  • Bake the frankfurts for 12 to 15 minutes until the pastry is puffed and the frankfurts are heated through. Let them cool on the tray for 2 minutes before serving.
  • Skewer 2 upturned paper cases and 1 frankfurt on a bamboo chopstick, then top with a cheese triangle. Repeat with remaining ingredients and serve right away.
