Indulge in unique cocktail-inspired cupcakes with rum buttercream and cola infusion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup cola carbonated beverage
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat cupcake ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally, until well blended. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan onto a cooling rack. Cool completely, approximately 30 minutes.
  • Combine butter and powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Mix with an electric mixer on medium-low speed until combined. Increase speed to medium and gradually add rum and vanilla until fluffy. Frost cupcakes by piping or spreading the frosting on top.
