Indulge in a savory ham and cheese salad inside a bread bowl, resembling a delectable pie slice.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (9 oz) frozen baby sweet peas, cooked, drained
  • 2 cups diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 4 eggs
Instructions:
  • Combine peas, ham, cheese, onion, mayonnaise, and mustard in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 9-inch glass pie plate. In a 2-quart saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Add Bisquick mix all at once. Stir vigorously over low heat for about 1 1/2 minutes until a ball forms; then remove from heat.
  • Beat the eggs one at a time using a spoon until the mixture is smooth. Spread evenly over the bottom of the pie plate without covering the sides.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until puffed and dry in the center, then cool. Spoon filling into the puff just before serving and cut into wedges.
