Elevate frozen salmon with easy "en papillote" method for a fancy dinner for two.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (4 ounce) frozen salmon fillets
  • 2 (13-inch) parchment paper sheets
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter, melted
  • 2 sprigs fresh oregano
  • 1 lemon, sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 425°F (220°C).
  • Lay a salmon fillet in the middle of a piece of parchment paper. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then top with melted butter. Line each fillet with oregano and lemon slices.
  • Fold the parchment paper tightly over the salmon to meet in the middle. Seal the paper by crimping it down until it reaches the salmon, then roll up and crimp the ends. Ensure the packet is tightly sealed to trap the steam. Optionally use toothpicks to secure the folds and then transfer the packets onto a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until the salmon easily flakes with a fork, for approximately 30 minutes. Gently unwrap the packets and plate the salmon for serving.
