Authentic tomatillo salsa, perfect for grilled meats, green chilaquiles, or dipping chips. A versatile and delicious staple!
Ingredients:
  • 10 tomatillos, husked
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a nonreactive saucepan, simmer tomatillos in water until they soften and start to burst, approximately 10 minutes.
  • After draining the tomatillos, combine them in a food processor or blender with onion, garlic, jalapeño peppers, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Blend until reaching your desired texture.
