Elevate your roast dinner with chic salt-crusted potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 6 eggwhites
  • 150g fine cooking salt
  • 500g plain flour
  • 6 potatoes (pontiac or desiree), scrubbed
  • Butter or herb butter, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Mix egg white, salt, flour, and 100ml water in a bowl until a dough forms. Divide into 6 pieces. Roll out each piece on a lightly floured surface. Place a potato in the center of each piece, then enclose completely in the dough. Bake on a tray for 1 hour. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then crack open, discard the crust, and serve with butter.
