Savor our rich and velvety Italian vodka sauce generously ladled over al dente penne pasta for a decadent dining experience.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package penne pasta
  • 12 ounces canned San Marzano-style peeled plum tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 0.5 cup vodka
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring it to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 11 minutes. Drain and transfer to a serving dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, combine canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, vodka, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the alcohol cooks off. Then, stir in the cream and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and your sauce is ready.
  • Drizzle the savory sauce over the penne pasta and toss until the pasta is evenly coated. Finish with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
