Effortlessly tender roast beef with just beef broth and a slow cooker. Just set it and forget it for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 pound) pork butt roast
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
  • 0.25 cup brewed coffee
Instructions:
  • Halve the roast and season each portion generously with salt and pepper. Transfer the halves into the slow cooker and cover them with broth and coffee.
  • Set the slow cooker on Low and cover. Let it cook for 6 to 8 hours until the roast is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  • Transfer the roast to a cutting board. Use a fork to shred the meat off the bone or chop it finely with a cleaver for a smoother texture.
