Creamy, chunky sausage and cheese dip, perfect for solo snacking or sharing with friends.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans, drained
  • 0.25 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 0.5 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon canola or vegetable oil
  • 1/2 (1-pound) Jimmy Dean Premium Pork Hot Sausage
  • 2 tablespoons salsa
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon roughly chopped cilantro
Instructions:
  • Combine beans, 1/4 cup sour cream, garlic, and salt in a food processor. Blend until creamy.
  • In a small frying pan over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of oil for 30 seconds. Add Jimmy Dean sausage and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until browned, breaking it up into small pieces while stirring frequently. Drain the sausage and transfer it to a separate pot.
  • Combine the black bean mixture with the Jimmy Dean sausage and heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until the dip is hot, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the hot dip to a bowl and garnish with salsa, cheese, the rest of the sour cream, and cilantro.
  • Enjoy this delicious dish with chips or wrapped in a warm tortilla!
