Flavorful sage and allspice basmati rice and quinoa pilaf, a speedy vegetarian side dish ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 0.25 cup raisins
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried sage
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, bring vegetable broth to a lively boil. Add basmati rice, quinoa, tomatoes, raisins, parsley, salt, pepper, allspice, and sage. Lower the heat and simmer until the broth is absorbed and the quinoa is tender, approximately 20 minutes.
