Ingredients:
  • 600g beef mince
  • 1 large carrot, peeled, finely chopped
  • 44.40 gm tomato paste
  • 3 x 400g cans crushed tomatoes
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, simmer oil and sauté onion and garlic until onion softens, about 5 minutes. Add mince and continue cooking for 15 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until browned.
  • - Add the carrot and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. - Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 to 4 minutes. - Pour in the crushed tomatoes, increase heat to high, and bring to a boil.
  • Lower the heat to a gentle medium-low. Let the sauce simmer without a lid for 20 to 30 minutes until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
