Aromatic and flavorful cocktail from New Orleans, the Sazerac is a classic made with whiskey and bitters.
Ingredients:
  • ice
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters®
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters®
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 fluid ounces rye whiskey
  • 1 lemon peel
Instructions:
  • Fill a rocks glass with 1 cup of ice and let it chill for approximately 5 minutes. Then, discard the ice.
  • In a cocktail shaker, mix Peychaud's Bitters, Angostura Bitters, and a sugar cube; muddle thoroughly. Add 1 cup of ice and whiskey. Stir until cold, then strain into a chilled glass.
  • Express the oils from a lemon peel over the cocktail to release the essence; remove and discard the peel.
