A classic New Orleans cocktail with anise liqueur, Peychaud bitters, rye whiskey, and a lemon twist.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 teaspoon anise flavored liqueur
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 dashes Peychaud bitters
  • ice cubes
  • 0.25 cup rye whiskey
  • 1 lemon twist, for garnish
Instructions:
  • Chill the cocktail glass in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes prior to preparing the cocktail.
  • Pour the anise-flavored liqueur into the frosted glass and swirl to coat the sides before discarding any excess into the sink or enjoying it as a cheeky option!
  • Combine sugar, water, and bitters in the glass, stirring until dissolved. Add ice cubes and rye whiskey. Stir well and garnish with a lemon twist.
