Delicious scallops served with a light and flavorful white wine, butter, and shallot sauce - perfect for those who prefer non-creamy options.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon minced shallot
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 pound sea scallops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Get the oven broiler nice and toasty.
  • Combine chicken broth, wine, lemon juice, shallot, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Simmer until liquid is reduced, then swirl in the butter until melted.
  • Coat the scallops with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then place them on a baking sheet.
  • Broil the scallops in the hot oven for about 2 minutes per side until they are opaque. Serve with the delicious wine sauce.
