Impress with zesty blackberry lemon lattice pie for a party favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 double crust ready-to-use pie crust
  • 4 cups fresh blackberries, or more to taste
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons water, or as needed
  • 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C), then gently press the pie pastry into the 9-inch pie pan.
  • Combine blackberries, sugar, flour, and lemon juice in a large bowl, then pour the mixture into the crust.
  • Cut the second pie crust into 1-inch strips and create a beautiful lattice pattern on top of the pie. Seal the lattice ends to the bottom pastry with a touch of water and crimp the edges together. Finally, brush the lattice top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Preheat the oven and bake the pie for 15 minutes. Lower the temperature and continue baking for another 15 minutes. Cover the pie with foil to prevent burning and bake until bubbling, for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
