Irresistible creamy shrimp cocktail dip with chopped shrimp, zesty cocktail sauce, and flavorful mignonette - a delicious twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill, divided, plus more for garnish
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, divided
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped peeled English cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped shallot
  • 1 pound frozen large peeled and deveined cooked shrimp, thawed, tails removed
  • 1/2 cup refrigerated cocktail sauce
  • Water crackers or trimmed and halved sweet mini peppers, for serving
Instructions:
  • Prepare the filling by combining cream cheese, sour cream, 1 tablespoon of dill, and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Spread the mixture into a deep-sided 8-inch pie plate and set aside.
  • Prepare the shrimp mignonette: Combine olive oil, sugar, salt, 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon dill in a large bowl until sugar and salt dissolve. Add cucumber and shallot. Pat shrimp dry, chop into 1/2-inch pieces, then mix into the cucumber mixture until coated.
  • To serve, evenly spread cocktail sauce over the cream cheese mixture, then arrange shrimp mignonette on top. Pair with water crackers or sweet mini peppers. If you enjoyed the recipe, please show us some love by leaving stars and a review below!
