Healthier pizza with mushrooms, onions, and peppers for added flavor and nutrients.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup refrigerated or frozen egg product, thawed
  • 1/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 4 teaspoons snipped fresh oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound ground turkey breast
  • 4 thin slices provolone cheese (2 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup Muir Glen™ pasta sauce
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split and toasted
Instructions:
  • Combine egg product, oats, oregano, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix in ground turkey breast until well combined, then shape the mixture into four 3/4-inch-thick patties.
  • Place the patties on the charcoal grill over medium coals. Grill for 14 to 18 minutes until no longer pink (165°F), flipping once halfway through and adding a slice of cheese to each burger for the final minute. If using a gas grill, preheat and then reduce to medium heat before grilling the burgers as directed.
  • Heat pasta sauce in a small saucepan until warmed.
  • Lay burgers on bun bottoms and generously spoon pasta sauce over them. Sprinkle the remaining 2 teaspoons of oregano and cover with the bun tops.
