"Budget-friendly chuck roast simmered in savory sauce, yields a dozen delectable sandwiches."
Ingredients:
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup French dressing
  • 1/2 cup condensed beef broth (from 10 1/2-oz can)
  • 1 boneless beef chuck roast (3 1/2 to 4 lb)
  • 12 burger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Prepare the slow cooker by spraying it with cooking spray. Combine onion, barbecue sauce, dressing, and broth in the slow cooker. Add the beef and stir until it is coated.
  • Gently cover and simmer on Low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Take out the beef from the slow cooker and skim the fat off the sauce. Use two forks to shred the beef, then mix it back into the sauce. With a slotted spoon, place 1/2 cup of the beef mixture onto the bottom of each bun and cover with the bun tops.
