Cheesy spinach dip served in a bread bowl - a creamy crowd-pleasing appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf (8 oz. box) VELVEETA™ Original Cheese, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chopped pitted kalamata olives
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 box (9 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, squeezed to drain
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 round loaf (l lb) pumpernickel bread
Instructions:
  • Start by preparing a 4-quart slow cooker by spraying it with cooking spray. Once sprayed, add the cheese product, Cheddar cheese, and cream cheese into the slow cooker. Cover the slow cooker and cook on High heat setting for 1 hour, making sure to stir occasionally, until the cheese is fully melted.
  • Add olives, tomatoes, spinach, and garlic to the pot. Lower the heat to Low, cover, and simmer for at least 20 minutes, but no more than 2 hours.
  • Slice off the top of the bread loaf to create a lid. Use a serrated knife to carefully hollow out the loaf, leaving a 1-inch thick shell, and tear out the excess bread. Cut the top slice and the removed bread into bite-sized pieces.
  • Place the loaf on a beautiful serving plate and generously fill it with delicious hot cheese dip. Surround the loaf with perfectly cut bread pieces for easy and enjoyable dipping.
