Indulgent mac 'n' cheese, customizable with your choice of protein - think smoked chicken, BBQ leftovers, or diced ham.
Ingredients:
  • 750ml (3 cups) milk
  • 250ml (1 cup) Chicken Style Liquid Stock
  • 300g dried pasta curls
  • 250g smoked chicken breast, skin removed, coarsely chopped
  • 160g (2 cups) grated gouda cheese
  • 125g cream cheese, chopped
  • 40g (1/2 cup) shredded parmesan, plus extra, to serve
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 11.80 gm Dijon mustard
  • 60g baby spinach
Instructions:
  • Combine milk and stock in a slow cooker, stirring well. Add pasta, chicken, gouda, cream cheese, parmesan, garlic, and mustard, stirring until everything is well combined.
  • Cook on High for 10 minutes with the lid on, stirring occasionally to prevent pasta from sticking. Continue to cook, stirring halfway through, for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Add spinach, stir until wilted, and season to taste.
  • Sprinkle extra parmesan over the pasta and season with black pepper to taste.
