Ingredients:
  • 1 slice turkey bacon, cut into small slices
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 can (8.3 oz) baked beans
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomato
  • 1 tablespoon thick-and-spicy hickory-smoked barbecue sauce
Instructions:
  • Cook the bacon in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon, but keep the drippings in the pan. Cook the bell pepper in the bacon drippings until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Lower the heat to a gentle medium-low. Incorporate the beans, tomato, barbecue sauce, and bacon, stirring well. Heat everything until it is thoroughly warmed through.
