Southern-style banana pudding with vanilla wafers, fresh banana slices, and homemade pudding layers for a delicious and simple dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (12 ounce) package miniature vanilla wafers
  • 3 barely ripe bananas, sliced 1/4-inch thick, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine milk and eggs, whisk until smooth.
  • In a saucepan, whisk together sugar and flour. Gradually pour in the milk mixture while stirring. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Create a beautiful pattern in the bowl by layering wafers, banana slices, and pudding alternately until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of wafers on top.
