Quick and delicious soy-braised fish with aromatic flavors, using any white fish of your choice.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 1.5 pounds swai fish
  • 0.5 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup chopped scallions
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned rice vinegar
Instructions:
  • In a skillet with high sides over medium heat, warm oil and cook ginger until fragrant, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Place the fish fillets in a skillet and add soy sauce, water, scallions, cilantro, and vinegar. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover and simmer.
  • Allow the dish to cool off and rest until the fish easily flakes with a fork, about 10 to 15 minutes.
