Spaghetti bolognese

Indulge in our classic spaghetti bolognese, a rich and comforting Italian favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 50g pancetta, thinly sliced
  • 1 large brown onion, coarsely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 500g 4 Star Beef Mince
  • 2 tsp Spaghetti Bolognese Seasoning
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled, finely chopped
  • 1 celery stick, finely chopped
  • 400g can Annalisa Italian Diced Tomatoes
  • 500ml beef
  • 2 dried bay leaves
  • 500g Spaghetti No 5
  • Basil leaves, to serve
  • Kraft Parmesan, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large heavy-based saucepan over medium heat, heat oil. Add pancetta and cook for 2 minutes. Add onion and garlic, cook for 2 minutes until onion softens. Increase heat to high, add mince. Cook for 5 minutes or until browned, stirring to break up lumps with a wooden spoon.
  • Combine bolognese seasoning, carrot, and celery in the pot and stir for 3 minutes. Pour in Annalisa Italian Diced Tomatoes, Campbell’s Real Stock Beef, and add bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Finally, season to taste.
  • Cook Barilla Spaghetti No 5 in boiling water according to package instructions, then drain.
  • Portion the spaghetti into individual serving bowls. Drizzle the sauce over the spaghetti, then garnish generously with fresh basil and a sprinkle of grated parmesan.
