Spiced beef rice noodles

Delicious Chinese beef stir-fry, ready in minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 250g packet rice stick noodles
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 1cm piece ginger, peeled, finely grated
  • 550g beef mince
  • 2 tsp Chinese five spice (see note)
  • 62.50 ml kecap manis
  • 1/4 Chinese cabbage (see tip), roughly shredded
  • 250.00 ml coriander leaves
Instructions:
  • Place noodles in a large heatproof bowl and pour boiling water over them. Allow to stand for 5 minutes or until just tender, then drain.
  • 1. Preheat a wok over medium-high heat until sizzling. Add oil, garlic, and ginger, stir-fry until fragrant. Add mince, brown for 5 minutes. Stir in five spice and kecap manis, cook until slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Toss cabbage and noodles into the wok, stir-fry until cabbage wilts and noodles heat through. Garnish with fresh coriander, then enjoy!
