Spicy Bloody Mary with kick from chillies, pepper, and tart lemon twist. Unforgettable!
Ingredients:
  • 2 fresh jalapeño or padrón chillies, halved, plus extra sliced chilli, to serve (see notes)
  • Pinch of ground black pepper
  • 600ml tomato juice
  • 42.00 gm fresh lemon juice
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) vodka
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) gin
  • 2.40 gm sea salt
  • Himalayan pink salt, to serve
  • Charred lemon halves, to serve (see notes)
  • Ice cubes, to serve (see notes)
Instructions:
  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeño or padrón chillies and pepper to release their oils. Add tomato juice, lemon juice, vodka, gin, and sea salt. Shake vigorously to mix.
  • 1. Spread the pink salt evenly on a small plate. 2. Use the charred lemon to gently coat the rims of 4 serving glasses, then dip the rims into the pink salt. 3. Divide the ice cubes among the serving glasses. 4. Pour the tomato mixture through a strainer into the glasses. 5. Finish by garnishing with additional sliced chili.
