Spiced haloumi with honey and lime

Irresistible charred cheese skewers: zesty, sticky, and delicious bites.
Ingredients:
  • 250g haloumi, cut into six 10cm lengths
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) honey
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1.25 gm paprika
  • 1.25 gm ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Skewer halloumi slices lengthwise on soaked bamboo skewers and generously spray with olive oil.
  • Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill over medium heat. Grill haloumi, turning every minute, for 4 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  • Microwave the honey in a small bowl for 15 seconds until warm and runny. Then, whisk in the lime juice.
  • Place the haloumi on a platter and generously drizzle the honey mixture on top. In a bowl, mix the paprika and cinnamon together, then sprinkle the mixture over the haloumi.
