Succulent spicy pork steaks served with creamy coleslaw for a mouthwatering dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 45.20 gm barbecue sauce
  • 24.40 gm worcestershire sauce
  • 54.00 gm maple syrup
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 long red chilli, finely chopped
  • 6 (125g each) extra-trim pork loin steaks
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 600g steamed chat potatoes
  • 39.60 gm mayonnaise
  • 100g plain reduced-fat yoghurt
  • 20.00 ml white vinegar
  • 1000.00 ml shredded cabbage
  • 2 large carrots, peeled, cut into thin ribbons
  • 125.00 ml pecan nuts, chopped
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 large green capsicum, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Combine barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, maple syrup, garlic, and chili in a glass or ceramic dish. Mix well. Add pork and ensure it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours, if possible.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, sear the pork for 5 minutes on each side, ensuring it is fully cooked.
  • In a large bowl, mix together mayonnaise, yogurt, and vinegar. Add cabbage, carrot, nuts, onion, and bell pepper. Toss everything together until well combined. Divide the coleslaw among plates, top with pork, and serve alongside potatoes.
