Create a decadent trifle with layers of fudge brownies, chocolate pudding, toffee bits, and whipped topping for a crowd-pleasing make-ahead dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (1 lb 2.3 oz) fudge brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur, if desired
  • 1 package (8.7 oz) chocolate-covered English toffee candy bars
  • 1 box (4-serving size) chocolate fudge instant pudding and pie filling mix
  • 1 container (12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions:
  • Prepare and bake the brownie mix in a 13x9-inch pan following the instructions on the box. After baking, use a wooden pick to poke the warm brownies at 1-inch intervals and brush them with liqueur. Let the brownies cool, then crumble them into small pieces. Crush the candy bars, but set aside 2 tablespoons for the topping.
  • Prepare pudding mix according to package instructions, skipping the chilling step.
  • In a 3-quart trifle bowl, layer half of the crumbled brownies, pudding, candy bars, and whipped topping. Repeat the layers and finish with a sprinkle of crushed candy on top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours before serving.
