St. Louis-inspired toasted ravioli, breaded, fried, and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Served with marinara sauce for dipping.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 0.75 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.5 (25 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli, thawed
  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Warm the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until it starts bubbling; then, lower the heat and let it simmer until you're ready to use it.
  • In a small bowl, combine eggs and milk by whisking them together. In a separate small bowl, mix bread crumbs and salt.
  • Coat each ravioli in the milk mixture first, then in bread crumbs.
  • Heat a generous amount of oil in a sturdy pan until a breadcrumb sizzles and browns. Fry ravioli in batches until golden on each side, about 1 minute. Drain on paper towels.
  • Top warm ravioli with Parmesan and serve right away with a side of hot marinara sauce.
