Crispy egg rolls filled with juicy steak, melty cheese, and colorful peppers, perfect for dunking into your favorite sauces.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds shaved steak
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 ounce) package egg roll wrappers
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Brown half of the shaved steak in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes until cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside. Repeat with the remaining steak. Drain any excess juices from the steak and chop into small pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix together steak, American cheese, and a colorful medley of green, red, and yellow bell peppers. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Place an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape on a flat surface. Spoon a generous amount of the steak mixture in the center. Fold the bottom and sides over the filling, then roll up towards the top. Repeat with the rest of the wrappers and steak mixture.
  • Start by heating oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan until sizzling. Carefully add a few egg rolls to the hot oil with the seam-side down. Fry them, making sure to turn them occasionally, until they turn a beautiful golden brown, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat this process with the rest of the rolls. Enjoy!
