Balsamic glaze enhances ham with a sweet and tangy twist, creating a rich caramelized finish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 5-8 lb. fully cooked ham half (shank or butt end)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup grainy Dijon mustard
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a roasting pan with foil.
  • Arrange the ham, cut side down, in the roasting pan. Roast uncovered for 1 hour (for a 5 lb. ham) to 2 hours (for an 8 lb. ham) until perfectly golden and crispy.
  • Combine brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, and mustard in a bowl. Brush glaze over ham and roast for 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes. Bake until internal temperature reaches 140°F. Remove from oven and let ham rest for 15 minutes before carving. Serve.
